MEND
The MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do
it!) programme is a FREE lifestyle course for children aged between 7
and 13 years and their families and has been running in Swale since
September 2007.
The Mend
programme uses practical sessions to learn about what's in our food,
being active through games and how to change our habits and behaviours
to achieve a healthier lifestyle. It’s a great, simple guide to healthy
living.
“I love MEND because it tells us everything we need to
know, like how much fat is in a packet of crisps”
Mend graduate
Programmes are running in Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Faversham in
community centres and schools and start each year in January, April and
September. All programmes run early evening (after 5pm).
“As soon as my daughter joined Mend she realised everyone
was in the same boat and she wasn’t always going to come last in things,
she loved it”
