Are you aged 13 to 19?
Do you and your friends have an idea for how to
improve services for young people in Swale, or Kent?
Kent County Council has been given two
funds to give to the young people of Kent. The funds, called the Youth
Opportunity Fund (YOF) and the Youth Capital Fund (YCF), aim to give a voice
to young people and help them influence the facilities available to them.
This includes things to do, places to go and people to talk to etc.
The YCF is just for capital items -
things you can hold, use and see. Whatever is bought must benefit more than
one person; the more people it benefits, the more likely you are to get an
award. The items must also be legal, have the appropriate permission and not
cause a nuisance.
The YOF can be used for facilities,
events, activities and campaigns that help young people stay safe, be
healthy, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve
economic wellbeing.
